FAQs

We get this all the time...

Soft washing involves low-pressure and a high volume of water mixed with biodegradable additives that remove the biological elements (mold, algae, pollen, dirt, moss, bugs, cobwebs) safely and without damaging surfaces on your home or killing your plants. Soft Wash Exteriors’ process is safer for your home’s delicate surfaces and the treatment lasts longer than traditional pressure washing.

Pressure washing or power washing is the use of high-pressure water spray to remove stained on mud, dirt, mold, and general grime from flat surfaces and objects such as entryways, steps, walkways, pool decks, porches and other concrete and/or paver surfaces. Soft Wash Exteriors always uses the most appropriate application for the job.

Soft Wash Exteriors of Delaware County is located in Drexel Hill, PA. We spend most of our time serving Haverford, Havertown, Springfield, Marple, Newtown Square, Media, Glen Mills, and Ardmore. But we happily serve the surrounding neighborhoods as well.

Soft Wash Exteriors has been serving Delaware County since 2019. We separated from Soft Wash Exteriors of Downingtown (my brother) and began Soft Wash Exteriors of Delaware County in 2001. We have a Pennsylvania business license and are insured.

Soft Wash Exteriors of Delaware County is an exterior cleaning service.

We offer cleaning solutions for just about all your exterior needs. We can use high pressure (power washing) or low pressure (soft washing) to safely clean your home’s exterior. We clean roofs, vinyl and aluminum siding, stucco, brick, stone, painted services, pavers, composite and/or wood decks, patios, walkways, and more. Check our services tab for more information about each of these services.

As a small business we prefer payment by cash or check at the time services are rendered. We can accept credit card payments, but a 3.5% fee will be added to your total.

We do appreciate when our customers prepare for our arrival. It is preferred to have your driveway available for our truck. At times, a spot in front of the property is just as convenient.

Also, since we are using pressurized water guns and dragging heavy hoses behind us, it is recommended to remove all decorations on doors, windows, patios, and decks. Any item that could be harmed by our spray or is easily knocked over should be moved inside or towards the center of the yard. Large patio tables and grills can be left where they are. We will gently slide them aside when we clean their area and return them to their original spot.

Yes, we will need to hook up to an outside hose bib. We carry our own water hoses that we connect to our gas powered engines, so we will not need access to electricity.

If your water hose cannot be safely removed from your hose bib, we would simply connect our hose to the end of your hose.

This is a good question, but one that is dependent entirely on your home and situation.

During the soft wash process our cleaning solution kills and removes biological growth (moss, algae, etc). This typically lasts much longer than just traditional pressure washing alone. Most of our customer realize the benefits of our soft wash process for a minimum of 2 years, but many go for 3 to 5 years between washes.

Some of our other customers have us back yearly. This is a preference where they like a fresh clean look to their home, or some have extenuating circumstances like dense shade or standing water on decks and walkways.

If it's got some grime we can soft wash it!
